Maybe it's a tactile issue because they feel fuzzy? I had a similar reaction when they first came out with gummy bears. *L* The just felt creepy to the touch. My kids got a huge kick out of it and would chase me around the house with a handful of gummy bears. I got over it when I discovered how tasty they were.
