If you are talking about Verizon SiteBuilder, I would say no. I used that web-based program and I really didnt care because at least I could post pictures and background music and basic things, but now that I have gone to Yahoo! Web Hosting, I think SiteBuilder totally is not the best, because its very basic.

Yahoo! web hosting has so many more features, but if you dont want to pay, go ahead with SiteBuilder, you can still make nice websites, everything depends on your knoweledge and desinging.

How good SiteBuilder is as a web development tool, has a lot to do with what you intend to do with it. SiteBuilder is a wonderful tool for those who have a need for a web site or page but;

1) Have a limited or even no budget for web design

AND/OR

2) Have limited or no knowledge of web design language technology.

SiteBuilder is a basic "Point and Click" user interface commonly known as a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) tool. These technologies allow a layman to easily layout, design and publish a page or site in short order.

I run a web hosting company, http://www.mxdwebservice.com , that offers SiteBuilder with every hosting plan for free, to give every client the ability to get up and running with a web site quickly and easily. The following link is to one of my client's sites built using SiteBuilder; http://www.thebestgddjservice.com . As you will see, while I would not say it's going to be the next standard in web design, SiteBuilder allowed this business owner to have a viable web presence in just a few clicks.

Of course, if your intention is to build the next BestBuy.com or the next MySpace.com you might want to reconsider the use of a simplistic tool like SiteBuilder. In the case of anything of that magnitude, I would suggest DreamWeaver hands down.

While a product like DreamWeaver still employs WYSIWYG technology, it also allows the user to get deeply involved with the inner workings of the code or programming behind every web site or page, thus making for far more robust and dynamic.

I hope this has helped you in some way!

That's what I use and I like it a lot.
The templates are a little bit lame though, but I don't really use them
