The ones I use contain calcium carbonate (of course), adipic acid, blue 1, corn starch, crospovidone, dextrose, flavors, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, red 27, red 30, sucrose talc, yellow 6, yellow 10.
No sodium.
I've read where you shouldn't take Rolaids. I've heard you can take any kind and I've heard not to take ones with sodium. I'm trying to get in touch with someone at the Dr.s office to ask.

Yes you can take antacid tablets. Sometime you can get away with just eating something like bread and crackers to absorb the acid that you are feeling instead of taking the antacid. I took them regularly though when I was pregnant. Don't worry, once you talk to your doctor he will say that it's okay, just don't be eatting them like candy, although who would, they work but taste nasty no matter what flavor.

It is best to ask your doctor and not take any type of medicine unless he says otherwise. If he says the type of medicine you are taking is not safe to take while being pregnant, ask what type is or what you can do instead of taking them.
Even if you feel silly about asking about a certain thing, always ask. It's very important to know whether or not you should be doing something, especially when you're pregnant. You want a healthy baby. Oh, and make sure you're taking prenatal vitamins (even if they taste yucky!).

i will suggest that till anything else doesn't work take antaacids but try to change ur eating habbits n food u r taking so that u don't get acidity.

one of my friend is 5 months preg n she had lot of acidity in her first month but then she changed her style of eating n now she doesn't have acidity.

acidity is caused mostly when u don't have food at proper time daily .

make a routine fix ur timing when to have breakfast ,lunch n dinner. in between u can munch healthy food like fruits, or raisins or dried apricots, etc.

include more leafy veg in ur diet i mean try to include more of fibrous food.

i think it will help.

When I was pregnant I practically lived on Tums. I had gotten the OK from my OBGYN first tho.
