Is there anything practical i can use it for in my home? IE can i use it as a hub by connecting several pcs directly to it. There is also a coax connector on top that i have no idea what its for.

Should make a good paperweight :-) Probably not much else. Maybe donate it to a technology museum, lol. It's probably not even worth 10 bucks. But sure, if you have a home network or lab and can use a 10Mbps hub, throw it in there to connect multiple PCs together. Just remember is only a shared 10Mbps hub, not a switch and not 100Mbps, so performance will stink if you're transferring lots of data between machines on this hub, compared to using a modern home switch/router.

The coax connector is for "thinnet" (10Base2) coaxial uplink connections, picture a few network closets in a building, each with their own hub, but the closets are far apart so coax cable (RG-58) is used as a more rugged way to connect them over longer distances than Cat5 (Cat3 back in those days).
