SHAQ

I really hate comparing them since they don't play the same position

It is easier to find a better shooting guard though so I would say Shaq

This does not mean Wade is better than Kobe, I'm just saying that if the Lakers had chosen to keep Shaq, they probably could have brought in an equally good shooting guard very quickly. In the long run though, Shaq is gone in a few years and Kobe will be around for a long time so they probably made thr right choice rivalry-wise

D*mn look at the Kobe votes rolling in at the bottom. There is no real answer to this question as they play totally different roles. But Kobe is my dude so I'll have to say him. As far as how much a player can do for the team, Kobe can do much more than Shaq but as far as pressence on the court and overall dominance, you gotta give it to the big fella. I'll always go with the player that wins you the game in the end though - nothing against Shaq but he's not even in the game when it matters. And for the people that say he won a ring withough Kob, you don't think that the Terror called Wade had anything to do with it right?

Kobe is the better player period. Shaq is a terrible player, he is completely overrated, and I cannot stand when people who claim they are "fans" of the NBA sit around and give Shaq accolades. Shaq is a 7'0 350 lb monster. He is not even remotely a good basketball player. He is a nonexistent defensive player, he was very inconsistent in his prime defensively. His offensive game only stretches 3 inches from the goal. He can't shoot a damn free throw, he has no jumpshot, he's not quick, he's just too big so everything looks exaggerated and nobody is sane enough to stick their face in his big elbow. (You see how he throws his elbow around mercilessly..that's not basketball, it's closer to boxing) Kobe, however, is a killer clutch shooter, he's got amazing range, and his handles are the best in the game only behind Iverson. Kobe's scored 81 points, he's had 3 rings and sooner or later will be an MVP, shaq is just a punk and I hate it when he gets all this praise. Hakeem was a FAR greater center by about a million fold.

Kobe 100x better shaq is overrated. If you put Kobe with the Heat and put Shaq with the Lakers I bet the Heat would win A title and the Lakers would be the worst in their Division. I expect Kobe To win at least 2 more titles before he's done with this game. When Shaq retires and Kobe Retires we can officially compare them fairly

Kobe Bryant. This is because he is younger, and her has more time to develop as a player. He was picked out of high school, unlike Shaq. Kobe is a good player and can get even better. Shaq can't.

Shaq. He replaced into Dominant Shaq created area placing out up scoring passing and so on Its tougher to construct round a SG. Kobe does each and every thing yet doesnt dominate, purely in scoring. Shaq because 25 12 3 career generic is magnificent.

I you put Shaq and Kobe 1 on 1, Kobe would win.
Shaq is good down low in a game because nobody can stop him.

Isn't it about time people got off the whole Kobe vs. Shaq thing? After all, it's been 2 years. They got over it months ago, why can't the rest of the planet?

How do you compare an aging center with a young point guard?

I guess, though, if you want to look at accomplishment...Shaq won without Kobe and Phil. Kobe got knocked out in round one.
