try not to take it personal. i have been betrayed in every way possible. from false rumors to cheating. although you want to trust that everyone has your best interest at heart, some are around you just to get info that the average person couldn't get because you would not let them in. have you ever heard that those around you hurt you more than anyone else. it is true because you only trust a select few in life. i am sorry that whatever happened did. try not looking for a good friend because it takes time and develops gradual and naturally besides , everyone is in your life for a reason remember this and the betrayal does not hurt as much. i do not have friends to this day for the same reason.

How can a friend betray you after 'a few days'. What do you count as betrayal.
You get a good friend by meeting people, finding those you have something in common with, and then just spending time with them. Sounds like you are just oversensitive to things. Relax.

Stop looking so hard. Make friends and go slowly with the friendship. Don't expect people to make a lifetime commitment to you within the first few days of meeting them. Take your time and be patient and you will meet some good friends.
The first step to making a good friend, is being a good friend. Encourage your friends, and don't judge them. You may not like everything they do, but if you are a good friend, you will accept them no matter what.
Listen to your friends without giving advice unless asked for it. Don't just use your friends to cry to, be happy and fun to be with.
Don't just look at their faults, look for their good qualities and you will find good friends.

You don't "get" a good friend. You make a friend and the relationship builds into a strong one over time.

You get a good friend, by BEING a good friend.
Unfortunately that does not always work, but it is the only way you'll have a chance...

i think wot u call betrayal is not actually betrayal. maybe sumtime they annoy u....u take it as if they have betrayed u. so be positive. among frends things like arguement etc. happens. so, be a good frend urself first.
