I see your not the only one that has little idea of time!
A Matinee is any performance scheduled between 9:00am and 11:59am.
Mid-day exists between 12:00pm and 2:59pm
Afternoon encompasses Mid-day, from 12:00pm to 5:59pm
Evening exists between 6:00pm and 10:59pm
Late, hence the concept of the Late Show; exists between 11:00pm and morning >> Sunrise, when it starts all over again.
