One of my close friends seems to be really busy lately. She is 8 yrs older than me and I'm 18 so i can see how she gets so busy with lots of stuff. But i just miss hangin out w/her all the time cuz we are so close, and i keep wondering if things will ever be the same again??

Because she is a grown up and you're still a kid.
Wait 8 years and see how busy you are running your life.

Sounds like you need to work on your OWN life and not plan around this other person. You mentioned there are not many people to become friends with, and yet your friend seems to have lots of them. As for her not signing in, maybe she's busy. Why rely on myspace and all that stuff? Call or visit her directly and tell her about your problems. Also try to go out, pursue your interests...

I know what you mean! Sometimes it's kinda hard when you have a particular friend that you really like hanging out with. I am single and most of my friends are married and its kinda hard to not be able to do some of the things I would like to do because they are busy doing things with their husbands and kids. But eventually I do get to do things and you will too. Just hang in there and make other friends in the process so when this one is too busy than you can hang out with your other friends. That's what i do and it works for me! Hope this helps some.

I know how that feels. One of my closest closest friends is in Virginia, and I'm in Georgia (I moved). She works awefully lots and has to balance school at the same time. She helps with paying the bill for her parents. Yep, she is so busy, but she called recently (haven't talked in 5 years) and we chatted for 1 hour. I miss her and she misses me...best friends are for keeps.

i have a friend and we both work so we try to arrange a day that we both can spend together. as you get older things change. she probably have bills that need to be paid and just working extra or has a boyfriend. have you tried to call her lately?

Friendships are constantly changing.
And the age difference is going to make for different goals and activities some of the time.
Why don't you take this opportunity to expand your 'friendship pool'?

As time goes by you will get used to it. Make a little time to spend with her.
