my day began when the dog of a friend whose house i am sitting peed on the carpet of the aforementioned house, so while scrubbing canine urine at seven am this morning i said to myself 'well at least my day can't get any worse'. not true. since then i have been stung by a wasp (for the first time in years), and spilled my lunch all over my (new) pants.....is it just me or has anyone else experienced karmic injustice today?

fyi absolute sicilian....i spilled my lunch because i got stung by the wasp while eating it....and the dog had just been outside, he was misbehaving because he misses his owner......and i also believe in cause and effect...bad karma causes bad things to happen ha ha

yeh I was just thinking that. I'm going to the chiropractor to get an adjustment and hopefully my day will follow.

Two days ago, yeah. A tractor trailer caught on fire on the turnpike, which I basically saw happen. Then in the BrandsMart parking lot, some guy in a Hyndai decided that he was in too big of a hurry to stop for a jeep that was backing out (he was far enough out that it was the Hyndai's fault), then I didn't see some lady trying to jaywalk across a median with a truck coming into a shopping center as I was trying to exit and I knocked a soda out of her hand, then my roommate got into an accident, then a friend of my roommate got into another accident. Luckily, as far as I know, everyone is fine and no one was seriously injured. Then yesterday, there was a nasty crash a couple of intersections from where I work during lunch that had traffic backed up to he.ll and gone.

I hate to say this, but there is no such thing as "karmic balance"... this world is governed by cause and effect ONLY. It's simply coincidence that all those things happened in the same day - it seems two of them were even your fault!

i.e. :

Maybe if you had walked the dog at 6AM, he wouldn't have peed on the carpet....and, if you were more careful, you wouldn't have spilled your lunch.

you probably manifested these events when you started thinking that the karmic balance was in some way "out to get you".

if you would have just cleaned up the dog piss happily, and move on, all of the other bad stuff may not have happened.

....or god just hates you

Sounds tough, but don't forget you can always apply for Karma adjustment points with days like these.

Not really but I have had those days. If you can find it listen to Jimmy Buffett's song Lucky Stars. Always makes me feel better. Hope your day improves. Peace

I find the karmic balance to be off every day.
