Well, as a porche technician, ive seen genuine high milages. A 928 s4 I work on has a service record that states 304k. Its all in the oil and the way you drive. On a side note, whilst in australia I met a guy with a toyota landcruiser with nearly 700k......

The website sez a boxster with the manual transmission will get 28 highway, 20 in the city. We can probably assume that, fresh from the factory, it meets your "well serviced, modern" requirements.

Best case scenario, for the 2.7-liter Boxster engine, I would say in the 20-25 mpg range.

you do hear stories of these engines doing 200,000 miles
so if looked after....who knows

apart from the boxster engines the rest of them can take a lot of abuse when looked after.
