To pay the rent you have to deposit cash. You fill out 2 little pieces of paper, and they stamp them both and give you one back. Well, the last few times I was in a hurry and only filled out 1. Now they are saying I didn't pay, and I can't prove. However I KNOW i paid it. They said its not on the log. I know I paid on July 6th in the drive thru window. Can I have them pull the camera footage from that day? Should I? Do they even have cameras there?

cameras won't prove anything. what you need to do is to get the bank to do a reconcilliation for the day in question, if they are up by the exact amount you claim it should be sufficient.

I'm not sure I understand why you pay your rent with cash, through the bank. Do you recieve a cashiers check that you use to pay the rent, money order or the like? What do the pieces of paper you fill out have to do with? What's on them, what are they called? Why did the procedure that normally requires two pieces of paper only need 1 this time? Can you find out who the teller was at the time of your payment? These are some important questions that you should seek answers to.
After you have figured some of this stuff out, post another question.

How would the footage prove it was rent even if it did show you handing over cash? Most likely the employee who knows you did not get the second part pocketed the money because that would be the only proof. Chalk it up to a learning lesson. Never be in so much hurry that you don't keep track of your money/receipts.

Sounds like a expensive lesson you just learned. I don't think there is nothing you can do about it. Why can't you pay by check? That sounds fishy. You may want to investigate that. There maybe more people getting done this way. The camera footage will not prove anything and I highly doubt if they will even consider it, especially when it's to their advantage. Good luck.

All that proves is that you were at the bank. It doesn't prove you paid the rent. You could have been asking for directions for all they know.

Guess you'll fill out both slips from now on won't you?

I'm confuse, who are you paying rent to?
If you paid in cash and did not get a receipt then boo you need a lawyer.
That's why I always use actual checks or my check card for bills. Each transaction is documented automatically.
