Arlen Specter, Rep senator from Penn, chairman of the judiciary committee is seeking to introduce legislation to sue the Bush administration to limit Bush's use of "signing statements," which he has used to bypass certain laws over 800 times during his term, more times than all other presidents combined. This is a concientious method by which the administration has sought to expand presidential powers throughout the administration. This is not an opinion, 82 of the signing statements state this outright. Specter and other Republicans do not like their congressional powers being usurped by the executive branch and are trying to restore some of the balance in our democratic system of checks and balances.

It is this type of unforgivable ignorance that is driving this country straight into the toilet. And the driver? Bushy and Cheney. I am not a Democrat, nor am I a Republican, I am one of the few who are truly neutral and honestly after as much research as possible vote for the best candidate. That is why I voted for Al Gore, and John Kerry. I don't care what party you are from, who your daddy is, or whether you invented the internet or not. Nor do I care if you are being pleasured by interns in the White House. If you are the best person for the job, then by all means let us elect that person and try to fix this country. Instead of attacking one another over the most ridiculous things. What you are asking is childish and school yard, "Guess who Mary likes" type of thing. The country is desperate, we are in an unwinnable war(anyone remember Vietnam? Korea?) gas prices are forcing common people into financial doom, healthcare is a joke, and the economy still stinks. These items are enough to make anyone desire for new leadership, and let me put it this way, if Bushy and Cheney were running a corporation or even a single company, storefront, popsicle stand, what have you. They would have been terminated long ago for running it the way they have run this country. Profits are down, and costs are rising, turnover(cabinet), and approval ratings. Hopefully their is a decent choice in the next election, and we can begin to heal this country.

Right like repukes make nothing up. Like all of those WMDs they found 3 weeks ago. The story rick santorum reported on fox news. The very next day the pentagon said those arn't the WMDs that we made the case for war with...they were weapons sadamn has had since the early 80's.
If anyone around here is desperate it's repukes because you guys are about to get killed in the midterms.

I would say that both of those issues true or false pail in comparison to what can be proven like no WMD no Ties to Terrorism, no Yellow Cake Uranium from Niger. Look up these facts in the 9/11 commission. I'm sure you wont believe it even if you do take time to do some real research. That's the way people are. The truth is out there all you have to do is read.

I guess that's the difference between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats make up stories when they're depserate, and Republicans just make up stories all the time!
To answer your question, I don't know about the Ted Kennedy thing, but your friend is right about the other suit. Check the source below.

Do you realize that both parties are guility of such actions? I recently received an email from my Mom that told the story of Ollie North being investigated for installing a security system in his house, a democrat was questioning the need for it and supposedly North replied he needed it because his life had been threatened by Osama bin Laden. I checked it out on a gov. website and it states that the story is urban legend. We should all be responsible for questioning everything we read, see and hear when it comes to newspapers, television and especially the internet. If we accept everything we see as fact...... our country is headed for the dumpster.

Jehovah's Witnesses have self assurance that Jesus has already come (he's come into the beginning up of his rulership) a 2d time (the comparable way that he left which exchange into invisibly, yet purely those following him ought to tell). Luke 17:26-30 whilst the Son of guy comes, issues would be in basic terms as they have been whilst Noah lived. people have been ingesting, ingesting, and getting married suitable as much as the day whilst Noah went into the vast boat. Then the flood got here and drowned anybody in the worldwide. whilst Lot lived, people have been additionally ingesting and ingesting. They have been procuring, advertising, planting, and development. yet on the very day Lot left Sodom, fiery flames poured down from the sky and killed anybody. the comparable will happen on the day whilst the Son of guy seems. in accordance to bible prophesy and Jesus' warnings, the presence of the son of guy (Jesus), could bypass left out with the aid of maximum folk (aside from those paying interest to the signs and indications which "look" invisible to maximum folk (Matthew 24:7-9; Luke 21:10-12) Jehovah's Witnesses have self assurance that those are the final days the place Jesus presence is, culminating to a grand climax.

Dems usually fail when it comes to facts for things they spout off about.
having said that. they still have some pretty good agenda items. Unfortunately, they mostly want to increase taxes to pay for pork projects, and social welfare.
Otherwise, they are not very cohesive in their platform right now.
its a shame too cause the republicans are stealing america blind.
the dems have a chance to take back both houses and the president's office but once again, without a cohesive agenda, they will fail in my opinion.

Its not just a posibility that Dems/Libs are making up stories, its an absolute certainty. Don't forget the forged documents created by the DNC that ended Dan Rather's career.
Its the same way they aliken the radical, liberal, socialist Nazi party to conservative Republicans; they change history and facts to suit their narrrow minded ideology.

Democrats and the rest of the American people have a right to be desperate considering the direction the President and his rubber stamp congress is taking the country. Because of our involvement in Iraq it has musroomed into even wider conflicks that only seems to benefit the weapons industry......
