Because they are more comfortable, and you don't have a panty line. Also, pre-teen girls are influenced by the media. You think they're going to watch MTV and see all the music videos with girls thongs sticking out over their pants and not think everyone else is wearing them?

because they are seeing that using sex is a way to get ahead and their parents dont teach them better
i never understood the attraction to wear thongs...

They are trying to act grown. When you are that young you cannot wait to be older and then once you are older you wish you were young again! lol
