if so...is it weaker/stronger then pool chlorine?

It is the same chemical as LIQUID pool chlorine, except not as strong. Different, though, from granular chlorine. Can be used in a pinch, but it requires a LOT more of it to do the same job.

Chlorine is chlorine, it's the same stuff, just in a different form. It's also the same chlorine that is used to treat the drinking water in most towns and cities.

Works just as well as chlorine, I've used it many times and it works exactly the same

its the same sodium hypo-chlorite, but the pool chemical is more concentrated.
