Sitting around a duck pond one day having a few beers, we watched the men ducks take advantage of one female, over, and over and over and over. Nearly drowned her. She finally got wise and laid out like a pancake on the shore just quacking.

You should also know about the horniness of the bottlenose dolphin. The males will corral a female and not let her go. Every 40 minutes they go in to take their turn. Saw this one on PBS.

Rape is about power. Animals are driven to sexual acts by the need to propagate. As far as I know, humans and Chimpanzees are the only creatures that actually rape. Forceful sex is part of a "normal" routine for most animals due to an instinctive need to spread their particular traits to offspring. Since humans and chimpanzees are more than 99% the same in DNA structure, there are behavioral similarities, power struggles (rape, kidnapping, war), and manipulations and alliances that are specific to higher primates.
