Just to take a poll, if your daughter who was under 16 years old tld she was pregnant, would you prefer:
a.- Her being pregnant from some under 16 year old boy who was an airhead and had no way to provide for your daughter.
b- Some 35 year old man who had a lot of money and wanted to marry your daughter.
Which scenario would you be better with?

B. As long as he is not abusive, it's better for her & the baby to be taken care of financialy... she would be able to afford childcare so she could finish school, get a good job, etc. and after she gets older and when she can make it on her own (and if she doesn't love him) she could always divorce the man and then get a nice divorce settlement.

Well lets see! First Id have the 36 year old guy totally in jail for statutory rape! Undo influence of a minor! I would prefer the 16 year old airhead be the father! With a 35 year old man- wow Id hate for a grand baby to have so few morals when he grew up cause of who his dad is! I pick the 16 year old airhead- he can learn day to day- get a job to help with the child and do just as well as the 35 year old perv

To clearify, in the state I live in, 16 is the age of consent. If you're under 16 you can have sex, but only if the guy is less than 2 years older than you. If you are between 16-18 the gap is 10 years. If the police find out you have sex with someone that is outside of the age, it is rape. No matter the consent or anything. It is rape. Therefore, if he were to impregnant someone who is 16 or under, he would be put in jail whether the parents are upset or not. The police do not need a parents permission to press charges. So he would be in jail, end of story. That is how it is in my state...to clearify.

I was a mom at 16 and the father was 19. If I had told my mom that I was pregnant by a 35 yr old man, she would have killed us both. Me for being stupid enough to let him touch me and him for being a child molester. She wasn't thrilled about the 19 yr old either by the way.
If it were my kid, I would opt for the 16 yr old if the senario was completely unavoidable. I just hope my daughters follow what I say not what I did.

Her being pregnant by the sixteen year old I would rather that my little girl not be influnced by a 35 year old man even if she is having sex..Any 35 year old man that would touch a 16 year old in that way should be sent to prison!!! I would take care of my daughter and her baby myself if the boy was too immatture.

Have the 35 year old put in jail for child molestation and put the baby up for adoption. A 16 year old cannot raise a child on her own and shouldn't have to. Though it's painful to give up a child, you have to love the child more than yourself and know it's the best thing for the child to be raised by two capable, mature parents. When the 16 year old grows up into maturity she will realize she did the right thing for that child.

i was 16 and got pregnant he was 21 we are still together after 10 years but a man of 35 is a bit to old and wanting to marry her to young ide say i wouldnt be happy at all

I'd prefer B to be honest. That way at least the baby will have a father and will be taken care of. I might not like it, and I would feel like a failure of a parent, but I don't see the purpose in putting the father in jail given those circumstances.
And yes, in most states you can get married at 16 if you are emancipated or have parental concent.

Im going to go with A. A baby changes everything. He may be an airhead now but a baby would most likely change his ways Give him a sense of responsibility

may be she should abort the foetus!!!! a 16 year old pair is just too young for parenting and also for sex.
no mother would want her daughter to marry a man who is almost double her age!!
grow up, mistakes can be rectified..
