I think they vote for the right party because they have similar beliefs with like abortion, gay marriage, amont other things. At least, that's how most Christians I know feel. And they may or may not believe the war is right, but may think of it as a necessary evil, one that we must take to keep our country safe and to protect others. Don't know for sure, but these are the main reasons I think.

Easy, the "right" caters to them. I'm not a Christian but I don't think Jesus would condone killing and wouldn't back anybody that did, Israel included. I think there are some fundamental Christian groups in the U.S. today who if they had their way would dominate politics and push their agenda on everyone. Pretty scary stuff, if that happened what would make us any different than the Islamic states that we're at war with???

Thank God many Christians like myself do not support the right wing nuts. Bush only won by 539 votes officially in the year 2000 election (you can argue the butterfly ballots tricked voters), but lost the popular vote by 500,000 votes.
Follow the money and the media - people are bombarded with stuff that you are not a patriot or follower of God if you don't vote Republican. This is a load of crap of course.
I think you will see a change this November as people wise up.

Who's doint most of the killing (get ready for this) Iraqis, Iranians, Syrians, etc.
Would he back Israel? His 'mishpucha'? Jesus would have said "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and kick terrorist's gluteus."

Jesus did not protest the Roman Empire or involve himself in government at all. His focus was on the individual, and the Church itself. Jesus did not demand that Rome setup a welfare system, but rather that individuals care for the 'widows and orphans'. When asked about government, in regard to taxes, he merely stated "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's." His purpose was not the reform of Government, but of individual sinners.

If God allowed the killing of 6 million Jews and allows his followers to be killed, he allows 120,000 Iraqis to die...Its his plan and his plans are perfect.
And yes, he would back Israel, they are his chosen nation just like we are his people (Christians).

okay - in order to answer the question and not use this as a soap box...Jesus, historically as well as biblically would not support murder like that. Right wingers are generally right wingers because the republican party touts their ideals. It is important to remember that Right wing politicans and the right wing populace are different. Mainly because the politicans TOUT their ideals and don't necessarily uphold them. Same with the left.
Short answer - christians vote right in general because the right makes promises that appeal to christians

Because they haven't read the four gospels and the book of Acts to see what Jesus really would have done, and what his Apostles would do.
Personally, I don't recall the Bible ever mentioning that Jesus killed anyone.

Jesus was a LIBERAL, he promoted peace, social programs and tolerance. He would be leading protests against Bush with REAL Americans and the rest of the world.
Cons would call Jesus a "commie" and would support his assassination--I guarantee it.
