Look and find what type of last name your baby will have (where it originated from) Try all the last names that are associated with your and the father's family. Then look at the website www.babynameworld.com and see which names will match with it. For example the last name for me and my bf is Welsh and Scottish, so those first names will sound good with the last name.

Do you know if boy or girl?
I am half Cuban, and ended up naming my daughter Isabel Lucia (Lucia is my abuela). That way, it isn't an uncommon name, but still Hispanic origin.
You can pick up a Baby Name book at Wal-Mart or Target for around $6. They give you the origins and meaning of the names.
You can also try the internet. Good luck and congratulations!

While it's nice to have a name that reflects your baby's heritage, don't go overboard and end up with something that is a burden for him/her. Life isn't fair, and people will show less respect to Tamiqua Lashonda Smith than they will Elizabeth Marie Smith.

Pick a name that reflects your child's heritage, but nothing too far off the beaten path.

You should pick a name that you love. As a pregnant mother of 5, I know how hard it is to choose. I chose Lorelai Lauren, Gabrielle Samantha, Ethan Thomas, Logan Austin, and Cadance Olivia and my soon to be daughter will be Annabell Amanda

My best friend's parents came over to America from Nigeria. They named her Chinello (Chin-ell-o) Jennifer. So in school she can be refered to as Jenn...but she still has african roots. If I were in your position I would take that approach. Good luck.
