There will be some variation depending on what the floor is made of. But you will need a bucket of hot sudsy water- usually lysol- a pair of rubber gloves, a scrubbing brush, an old toothbrush for getting into the tighter spots, and several rags.

First sweep or vacuum the floor. Then get in there with your brushes and scrub hard, and follow that up with your rags. If you feel up to it, get another rag and a bucket of clean water, and rinse. Then yet another rag or two to dry.

If you're talking about industrial-sized floors, there are machines that will ease the job a lot.
