There's a couple of options, depending on who you use for email now.

You could attach a reciept request to an email and send it to the person you're asking about. As soon as they read it, a receipt will be returned to you, thus confirming it was read. However, a reciept can also be stopped by the reader.

You could have someone on AOL send a message to them as AOL to AOL messages can be checked (when it's read, it's tagged with a date/time stamp).

Other than that, without actually looking over someone's shoulder, there's no other way to tell if an account is still being read/checked.

yes.. you can look over his shoulder when he uses his computer...or... if you are one of the system operators of AOL then you can check the usage of his account... otherwise.. no..
