The UN resolution was ridiculous. It did not recognize Hizbollah as a terrorist organization AND call for its eradication.

How can you demand justice and not imprison the culprits? Only when Hizbollah is stopped and disarmed can there be any negotiating.

Also, some say the Israeli response was disproportionate; yet the rockets continue. How much force will it take to stop the rockets? That is the measure of how much retaliation is appropriate; what it takes to stop the rockets. So far the Israelis have not done enough!

I agree with Zapper -
The US probably knew about the Israel response before it occurred. Considering that the US is involved in Iraq and now with Israel at war with Lebanon -

A new map?? Democracy for all. I think that the US wants to make sure that everyone in the middle east is part of democracy - whether they like it or not. After all, he knows best.

Because the UN need to focus on who the mian cause of the problem is rather than on a quick fix. These Muslim nations are all calling for the destruction of Israel, therefore Israel has every right to defend themselves however possible.

Probably because that condemnation didn't at the same time condem Hezbollah's action that caused it to start AND comdem Hezbollah's reactions.

Someone kicks you in the shin. You punch them in the nose and a fight breaks out with both of you throwing punches. Who should get into the most trouble in a court of law?

Simply because the U.N. resolution made absolutely no mention whatsovever about Hezbolah. It was introduced my an Arab country and was completely one sided, placeingall blame on the Israelis.
