I mean, besides the whole Prescott Bush and Adolf Hitler thing when they were best friends back in the day, but why are the modern Republicans so very much like the Nazis ?? They both invade countries, murder tons of people, love discrimination, why are Republicans so much like Nazis ?

The Nazis were a radical, leftist, socialist political party, they were not conservative. FDR, the democratic president, was on good terms with Germany and ignored the Nazi "final solution" because entering the war was unpopular in the US due to the extensive business dealings between US companies and German companies. After decimating the country in WWI the US made a lot of money rebuilding the country.

Why do democrat/liberal whiners try to change history by saying the Nazis were conservative when they were radical liberals?

NAZI = National Socialists

Socialism and Communism are both left-wing political stances - more in-line with the Democrats than the Republicans.

Love Discrimination? Martin Luther King was a republican, as was Abraham Lincoln, who emancipated the slaves. Democrats were some of the most ardent opponents of the civil rights reforms in the south, including early anti-slavery efforts. Robert Byrd, the most senior Democaratic senator in the U.S, was a KKK member.

Invade Countries? Name one in the last 50 years that didn't involve toppling a dictator. What about Kennedy and the Bay of Pigs Invasion. He was a Democrat and invaded Cuba. What of it?

Murdering tons of people? Uhhhh...who? How about the 40 million aborted infants in this country. That's 1/3 of our generation- gone forever. You can thank the Democrats for that one.

I have yet to meet a Democrat who is informed about the bloody hands of his or her own political party. Their logic always boils down to Republican = bad, Democrat = good, even if they can't tell you a reason why it is that way.

Seriously, abandon you pre-conceived ideas, get informed, and get your story straight before you get on here and post your nonsense.

I disagree, I think that they have very little in common. While "Republicans"-that you so broadly classify-may commit acts of bigotry, racism, or the like, they have few similarities with the Nazi regime of the late 30's and early 40's. In your attempt to make a weak political point, you classify all "Republicans" as hate mongers, which in itself is a form of discrimination. The abundant hypocrisy of your statements is so startling, that I can only laugh and sigh. People like you, with their brash ideals and uncompromising philosophy are the reason there is such a rift between the parties in the U.S. It is not public policy, both foreign and domestic, that divides us but unyielding wills. Wake up to your unjust accusations and realize that when wild accusations like this are made you do little more than divide our country further. I value healthy and rational dissent, as it is a catalyst for intelligent discussion and progress, but comments such as these are ridiculous.

For the record, I am a liberal, I vote Democrat, I live in Philadelphia-one of the most liberal cities in America-and habitually debate my family who is primarily conservative.

why do Democrats share so many things with Marx and the Communists? Ideologically conservative views are based towards the right, which in extreme hardline cases would be similar to the nazis (although the nazis were for big government which is not conservative). While ideologically democrats lean towards the left (socialist programs, big government, social freedoms), which is similar to Marxism and Communism in extreme cases.

Instead of Republicans, this is more like Democrats, because they are more Socialist just like the Nazis.

Where do you idiots get this stuff. Do you even know where the Nazi reference comes from???? Are you all just mindless talk radio lemmings?

It started with three events then spread to Liberal radio talk shows. What were the events? Do you even know.

As I moderate MY "party" will determine who sits in office as we are the majority (20% GOP 20% DNC= 60% moderate) and you have given me NO reason to vote for your party....What is the DNC's PLAN!!!!!!!!

do you have a freakin' clue what you are talking about...Rep leaders have been the ones that have actually had the balls to stand up and defend our country....and if you KNOW your history so well, you would know that a REPUBLICAN signed the emancipation proclamation and it was REPUBLICANS who got the 13th, 14th, and 15th ammendments added...as well as the 19th ammendment...go ahead...i'll wait on you to look them up....now...how do you get that republicans love discrimination so much....if you are going to slander any particular group, idea, or person (or whatever else for that matter), get your facts straight first...or at least learn how to not make it so vague...vagueness does not make you look smarter.

Because they have always favored anti-social, anti-Xtian behavior in order to help corrupt millionaires get more money, even if that means 99% of them don't get jack.
