My mom first bought this make-up from their infomercial. I was a little skeptical about it's effectiveness, but she invited me over and we had a make-up party. the first time i used it, i hated it. partly because my face was dry in some places and oily in others...it just didn't apply well. but i was still curious about it. it felt light and the color matching/blending looked good. after i had used it for a week exclusively, i was hooked. it was almost as if my skin had to become acclimated to it. i bought the larger size foundation at a salon locally for 25.00 and it's lasted 4 months and i have enough for nearly another month, so that's about $5 per month. since it's all natural minerals, there aren't any chemicals in the make-up that could spoil, so really, it never goes bad!
I love it! and i won't use anything else. and as a bonus, my skin cleared up. i used to have moderate acne, but it's all gone now since using bare minerals.

It's called Bare Escentuals or I.D. Bare Minerals, but that's ok. Anyways, I think this stuff is GREAT! It definitely is not a waste of money. I own it and it's a very light powder that you have swirl over your face for coverage. It covers really well but looks like you have no make-up on so it's great. They also carry eyeshadow, mascara, lipgloss, blush, bronzer AND concealer. Go to your local Ulta or Sephora and ask one of the people that work there to apply some on you so you can see if you like it. If you buy the starter set at Ulta, it's about $45.00 and you get two foundations, a bronzer, and this stuff that you put on after all of that to make it stay on your face. I'm crazy about it so tell me what you think once you've tried it.

Bare Escentuals is the BEST makeup I have EVER used. I mean that! I will never go back to regular foundation. I use their eyeshadows, but the best product they have is definitely the foundation. It covers, but it feels so light (like you don't have makeup on) & never gets greasy. I would totally recommend it!!
I bought mine from QVC, but I think they also sell it at Ulta. I think some companies are selling knock-off versions, I wouldn't bother with those. While I've never tried them, I'm sure they are not as good. The Bare Escentuals brand may be a little pricey, but it lasts a LONG time & it works great.

If you are talking about Bare Escentuals (also sorry if misspelled) the powder mineral foundation it is crap. Don't waste your money.
I have tried it. It is worthless.
