I don't know, but if you can please let me know, I'm very interested in a home, I'd buy it ASAP! I probably wouldn't be able to move in for a while... PLEASE, let me know.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

In order to do you must have the approval of the Chapter 13 Trustee handling your case. Consulting your bankruptcy attorney will result in a charge to you and is not necessary. The Trustee is the only one who needs approve your listing the property for sale unless you get an offer that is insufficient to payoff the outstanding liens against the property. Should that happen, the Trustee can negotiate with your lender and any other lien holders to facilitate a sale as long as the offer is the best that may be anticipated.

I am aware of situations where people have been able to pay off their Chapter 13 by either selling assets or refinancing a home. It usually will require permission for the court, so I would consult with your bankruptcy attorney about your plans. If you don't have any attorney, get one.

Usually the court/judge will appoint someone to sell the property. If you want to sell it before that happens, you have to get the court/judge permission. Make sure you get it in writting!

you should consult with your bankruptcy attorney, to see if this is permissable in your state.
