for all you "smart" ones out there, if he holds out the season, he can re-enter his name into the 07 draft...morons

anyways, I am not saying he should hold out, but if he sits the season out, would you as a GM of said NFL team draft the guy in the top 5

This is a mute question since he signed. But to answer your question. Yeah I think he would based on his # but it would be risky. They would trade him before it ever came to that. That way the saints could get something to salvage the pick.

Most unfortunately don't understand your Q...

I think the threat to hold out and then re-enter in the 07 draft is just a negotiating tactic. He'll sign but it's going to be just like Cedric Benson from last year, by the time he gets to camp, he'll be so far behind on the offensive scheme that his rookie year will be a lot of time on the bench until sometime in November.

Probably, if he works out regulary for the next year. If the saints can't sign him, though, maybe they'll trade him to another team for a few players or draft picks. It's something I've thought of for some time, but perhaps my Philadelphia Eagles can sign him, what with all that cap room and a dire need for a balanced running back. Reggie's more than balanced, he's a do-it-all player.

He's not gonna reenter the draft. I do think he will hold out until after training camp. Dude wants number 1 money and he was the number 2 pick. He needs to get his butt into camp and start working out!!!

No, he will not enter the 2007 draft. He WILL sign before the first regular season game. Guaranteed. I don't care what his agent is saying -- it's all posturing.

Um, he was already drafted in 2006 by the Saints.

He will not sit out if that's what you're implying.
