Try searching on Dell's website for promotions for teachers. Most of the time computer manufacturers offer discounts ie: Dell Computer Buy Program for Administrators, Teachers, Parents and Students. You could also search here: http://www.dell.com/content/topics/global.aspx/corp/pressoffice/en/2002/2002_06_26_aus_000?c=us&l=en&s=corp
You could also check with your school district to see if they have any programs set up. I know Apple and Dell have been hitting the Houston market hard for teachers and students.

Try Singtel, or starhub internet promotion. I nod they are giving away free laptop but not too sure if is Dell. If you are not in the hurry, try hanging around Funan Ctr and seek for any free gifts or contest that give away Dell laptop.

Try approaching business and ask them to purchase the computer for you as a donation. It could be a tax write-off for them if done corrrectly.
