Yeah it is just the great thing that we call the english language, this is why people who don't usually speak english have such a hard time learning it.

English is a very confussing language even for me and I am Australian, what with one word sometimes having more than 8 different meanings.

As for your little statement well it would be a good topic for a talk or a debate.
