There are so many common dress designs which are so popular and become fashionable, like the punging neakline, but I keep seeing the strapless dress appearing everywhere.
The design I have in mind is not the recently popular one which the top-half is like a band but the kind which are like two arches. I think they look glamourous but I want to know what everyone else likes about them and possibly why the design keeps reappearing in fashion.
One reason I believe is because it never seems to go out of fashion because they look so good on so many ladies.

because it hides things such as big thighs, hips or stomach area which females are very uncomfortable about....therefore its falttering on many figures and thats why its popular....think about it if designers/stores didnt try to flatter a womens body with thier clothing no women would buy it.

No matter what size you are, your shoulders never get fat. It also will give the illusion (with the right bra) that you have a larger chest. I believe that those are two main reasons why it keeps coming back into style.

strapless is very flattering on just about all shapes and sizes (as long as the correct size is worn) and, like you mentioned, it never really goes out of style.

Because they are very versitile, they can be worn by themselves, over a nice pair of jeans, you can dress them up or down, ect.
