Mike Ramsey, of the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team, was 18. Herb Brooks, their famous coach, refered to him as an "18-year-old prima donna." Sorry, but Jim Craig was 21 at the time. (I think.)
The 1980 US Olympic Hockey team won a gold medal for the first time in twenty years, in a feat known as the Miracle on Ice, considered the greatest sports event of the 21st century. The young US team beat the mighty Soviets, who had dominated world hockey for a decade, and completed the miracle by beating Finland for the gold medal.
