There are several species of dwarf hamster, the Chinese, the Russian White, among many others. They usually end up growing to about 2-3" in length and at the size of a third or a half of a "normal" hamster.

They have all the benefits and pitfalls of normal hamsters but can use toys and things designed for mice. On average they live just under two years.
