Well, For years Gateway has been a brand leader in the industry. It only fell off in sales in the early 21st century after Dell increased it's service and support worldwide. The thing about all these machines are that they're made by the same people. These are all manufactured in China by factories that are subcontracted by Gateway and Dell and others. What you need to look at when buying a Gateway Tablet PC is not how good the PC is, but how good is the after-sale support. Do you have a Gateway dealership in your area. Also, how long is the warranty for?
Good luck with your purchase

Gateway PC went broke in Australia a few years ago and reappeared under the computer name Compucon.
Gateway were being used in government departments - PC's not latops - and they were rubbish - didn't last two years.

I think gateway computers are good, but not reliable. I had a desktop and i encountered several problems. But all computers encounter problems so that's not the issue. The issue with gateway is that their customer service is very non-cooperative.

gateway service is horrible (from experience)
Go with a Dell. Best service available.. and with a tablet pc, you'll need it.
