Some of the problem is in how someone was brought up Were the parents open and honest with them, did they even have talks with them about sex. Some parents are still in the dark ages about this subject. Lots of kids still get their information from friends etc. and quite often it is the wrong information. It is also how you discuss the subject. If you are expecting them to tell you of their own relationships and what happens in them you will be waiting a long time for anyone to give you answers. If it is about sex in general then most times they will open up if it is posed as a questions. If you ask them seriously "Did you ever read the book Kama Sutra and what did you think of what the book had to say. Most women don't want to talk smutty but are willing to talk seriously about different aspects of sex if not pushed to reveal personal sexual behavior or preferances.

How do you know what they think about? I'm 50 years old, have been with my lady for 16 years and I don't have a clue what she's thinking unless she's speaking.

Most women don't want to talk about sex to some drooling horndog.

Sex is not a topic of casual conversation for normal people who are not in a relationship.

Women know that anytime some horndog starts talking about sex it's cuz he's trying to get laid so they avoid the conversation.

Anytime you try to initiate conversation about sex, to a woman you are not sexually involved with, her response is going to be,, Eeeewww, and get away from you as soon as possible.... Am I right Ladies?????

I am not afraid to talk about it. I wish more men would talk about it instead of just pouncing on women.

it depends on what you mean "talk about sex." in what context? for some women sex is a private and intimate thing so they don't want to talk about it with anyone but their significant other. if you are in an intimate relationship and finding your girlfriend reluctant to talk about it, it may be that she is struggling with the old idea that it is something you don't talk about, or she just isn't comfortable enough in the relationship yet to talk about it. i know that after hubby and i were married he wanted me to tell him what i wanted, etc. but i couldn't bring myself to. now, after 10 years of marriage, it's some easier, but we know each other so well that we really don't need to!

Do yourself a favor. Stop THINKING so much about it and start DOING it. Get yourself a woman and let her whoop the bejeezus out of you, man. It'll do you good.

J.P.'s right.
