For Bagels, buddy. Man, you need to broaden your horizons. There's a whole world of prepackaged bakery for you to explore.
Have you heard of English Muffins. I recommend those.
Although the aforementioned bagels are delicious with peanut butter when you put it on right out of the toaster so the peanut butter gets all gooey. Man, I love it.

my toasters never seem to toast mine enough, even on the highest setting I have to toast twice to get that darker golden toast.

So I can walk by and casually turn the setting to that extra crispy line when my dad puts bread in the toaster for breakfast.... *evil laugh*
