Mark Twain once said --

We should be careful to get out of an experience only the wisdom that is in it - and stop there; lest we be like the cat that sits down on a hot stove lid. She will never sit on a hot stove lid again - and that is well; but also she will never sit down on a cold one anymore.

Your fiancee has been burned once; it is up to you to demonstrate that she can trust you again. Frankly, the whole "I've grown, I'm a man" bit won't do anything to help her trust you. It's a little like the child saying "I'm sorry" as an automatic response; it's automatic without any demonstrated desire not to repeat the behavior.

You're going to have to do some serious thinking and some serious demonstration. I don't envy your position. On the other hand, you imply that the engagement is still on so there appears to be hope. Don't blow it.

Trust takes time, never cheat and always be open and honest. The long distance is going to make it hard, is there anyway you can reduce the distance? You need to be together for her to start trusting you again.
