I've recently found out that I'm pregnant. I'm some where between 6-8 weeks (fetal).
I went to see the doctor and he did a physical exam on me. (First time seeing him since I got pregnant) Where they push on the uterus... It didn't hurt when he did it but hy the time I made it to the car I was sore. No bleeding or cramping...just a dull sore pain that lasted all night.
Is this normal? Is this going to happen to me a lot?
I went home and went to bed. It doesn't hurt today but that wasn't fun and I don't really want that to happen again. It's never bothered me in the past...why now?
Is it just b/c he pushed on me or....b/c I'm a little more tender now...?
Just wanting to know if this is abnormal. My mom doesn't think it is but...I'm still bothered by it.

reise m: My baby isn't even the size of a rasberry yet. It's no where near 8lbs. LOL
And no, I'm not thinking too hard about it. I know when I feel things, I'm not "completely" insane =/

You are most likely sore b/c he pushed on you and you are more tender now.
He was feeling for an ectopic pregnancy, which can be life threatening, and for the size of your uterus, which can help determine fetal age, and for any masses such as fibroids or tumors.
Things are beginning to stretch and move, which will cause some discomfort, ranging from sharp pulling pains, to a dull ache. Don't be surprised, your body is changing more everyday.
Talk to your OB about being so sore. Ask him to "take it easy", that's hurts.
Good luck and Congrats to you and your S/O.

Not calling you out, but sometimes if you think too much about something like that you start to feel it. I don't know much about pregnancy but I"m sure it's pretty painful sometimes even for no reason.. I mean there's a 4-8lb being inside of you.
If it comes up again I would just call the doctor and ask if its normal.
Good luck with your baby!

you would be able to correctly be pregnant and it exchange into too early for the doctor to tell. If he did a try on Jan twenty 5th and you have been decrease than 10 days pregnant it may be confusing to tell via urine try to 50/50 on a blood try. in case you nonetheless have not had a era yet and nonetheless getting those warning signs, i could circulate purchase a house being pregnant try to verify returned. superb of success. If it comes up no longer pregnant, i could circulate decrease back to your doctor for a persist with-up.

I am 8 weeks and every time I go in they do the same and yes I hurt after the fact as well. It is because they are pushing around your walls and things.

It's normal. Being pregnant he might have pushed a bit harder to try to determine the size of your uterus/baby.

well since the pain subsided, then everything seems to be okay. It's normal to be a little sore when coming form the doc esp if you're pregnant.

You should call the doctor and ask. When a doctor examines you...they always explain to you what you may experience after an exam.

prob because you are more sensitive, but to be on the safe side, call the nurse and tell her about it. I had two kids and never was sore afterwards.
