my pc has a dvd-rom and also a cd-writer. can i burn dvds on it or i need another hardware for that (a dvd-writer???). i really have no idea... and do i need a software for that too??

A dvd-rom (read only memory) cannot write dvd's. You will need another piece of hardware.

Any ROM cannot burn CD/DVD. You need A DVD-writer to burn DVD'S & CD'S

you need hardware and software
you will need a dvd burner cd burners only burn cd's
and a dvd rom will only play dvd's not burn them
