My mother'n'law lost her husband last sept. and since then-no matter what time-day or night--she needs something--clean her house, do her dishes, vacuum 4 her, at HER convenience and it should be the minute she asks--honestly how understanding can a person be, there is no physical thing wrong w/her--while we are there helping her, shes on her butt doing nothing---

Hmmm, regardless of anyone else's feelings? Havent you thought of what she felt after losing her husband? Maybe it is still diffiucult for her to cope after that. There might not be anything physically wrong with her but have u thought of what she feels inside? Emotionally? It may seem like shes a pain, but that person has feelings too... It may be that she's still sad because her husband died... and she needs attention from her family. Just give it to her. At some point she'll realize that shes being a pain, and evntually, things will be normal again.

Time will heal.....be more understanding and understanding to her needs. Sometimes, it takes more than a year or two.

The only way to deal with this is to treat her the way you would want to be treated.
