If he is brown with grey spots he is not a wild rabbit, sounds like some mutt rabbit. But if it is a wild rabbit then you need to let it go because unless you have a wildlife rehab license its ILLEGAL to have a wild rabbit in your possession.

A wild rabbit is not only illegal to have as a pet, it may be dangerous. Wild rabbits are "silent" carriers of a disease called Turalemia, also known as "deer fever" and "rabbit fever." This disease is often fatal, and even when not fatal, you are going to be very, very ill.

Lovely tame bunnies are available for about five dollars. I strongly recommend getting one of those instead.

the mother won't abandon it in case you have touched it. circulate placed it back in case you may or wait until finally morning and place it below a bush or different shelter as on the factor of the spot your dad discovered it. that's no longer eating carrots because of fact wild rabbits do no longer in many cases consume that form of element - only in cartoons. Hay would be greater suited if is it sufficiently old to start weaning. Or slightly goat's milk or KMR. some bread soaked in one among those for while that's slightly older... it particularly is how domestics are hand raised yet wild rabbits are slightly distinctive so placed it back in case you may or take it to a flora and fauna rescue. i'd enable it circulate. It has the wonderful opportunities with its mom and he or she is for specific to circulate searching for her infant as quickly as she feels it is risk-free to and there is no one around, subsequently, solid theory to place it in sheltered place or suitable back interior the nest if possible.

He has spots? he's not wild... and are you sure he's a boy? He probably escaped from someone's house... Name him "spaz" You may want to keep him away from any other animals you have for a few weeks and give him some "tetracycline" (get from vet's office) to make sure he doesn't have any diseases that he can give to your other pets....
