If you know nothing about him, how could you possibly know he was a really good guy? That doesn't make any sense.

Be forward and ask him out. In this day and age guys are looking more for that upfront girl. It's the new thing try it and see what happens. The worse that can happen is "no," but at least you would know and not wonder

Just ask him out for a coffee and get to know him and him you..It's the only way these days.Go for it.
