Check the web. There are dozens of scholarships that go unused every year because no one knows about them. Also, check with your guidance counselor. Finally, check with organizations in your area, such as some sororities, Kiwanis, Rotary, and other such groups. Some of them will grant scholarships, also. My father was on the scholarship committee for Rotary for years, and he always tried to include kids who were not necessarily the greatest students, but who were really good, deserving kids.
