I see you have gotten the basic, "Transfer from one server to the other server" answer, so let me try and elaborate a bit for you.

Assuming your current web server and your new web server allow you FTP access, you can move the files from one to the other fairly easily. FTP is File Transfer Protocol, and is the standard protocol used to do exactly what you need to get done. There are several good FTP programs out there and anyone of them will get the job done nicely. Some free ones include; WSFTP & CuteFTP. These easy to use, point and click programs, make moving files from one server to another as easy as moving files in your Windows Explorer. Just drag and drop in most cases.

You should also know that some Web Development tools such as Dream Weaver, have FTP capabilities built right in making these types of moves even easier. Refer to your user manual for details on using this option if you currently have Dream Weaver or FrontPage, as I believe it offers a similar option.

Most web hosts offer clients web access to thier accounts, making the need of a FTP tool unnecessary for some. However to move from one web hosting service to another will require you to move all your web site files onto your own local machine using thier web interface, so you can then repeat the operation in the reverse with your new web hosting provider.

As for the actual domain name it's self, that is actually quite easy to do as well. You will need to go to where your domain name is managed (usually the place you bought the name from) and point the DNS (IP Address info.) to the name servers found at your new hosting service. I realize this might sound a bit complicated but in truth it's a quick & painless step that your new hosting provider will gladly walk you through.

My own web hosting company, http://www.mxdwebservice.com , offers a simple and easy to use file manager web interface so a separate FTP program is not required, with every plan. Our 24/7 customer support team will gladly assist you with any issues you may face in transfering to us from another service, as well as helping you get settled into your new web home!

I hope this has been of some help!
