like take habbo or runescape for example lots of kidas are getting pulled into theses games and wasting money

They are hobbies.. hobbies cost money and take up your time thats the whole premise behind them. If thats what makes you happy then I say play them but don't forget to try to get some normal excercise too or your ***/gut could balloon up. As we get to be older or new games/hobbies come out we generally change our interests and leave behind the other thing which we've invested so much time. But thats the way it goes.

How is that wasting money?
You can play Runescape for Free. You only pay if you want more game content.
It's cheaper than paying for other (better) mmorpgs like Everquest, World of Warcraft, CoV or CoH...et cetera. With those you pay $40-$50 for the game and then you have to pay $15/month to play.
No one's telling you that you have to play them...so why are you telling people what they should do?
Btw, you answered your own question. They're addictive so the mfrs make money.

I find that it is a way to get away from problems or just to past the time away. Nothing like coming home from a stress filled day and sitting down and playing a few on-line games to release the stress. I guess everyone has their reasons but, a stress reliever is mine...
