I would like to change out the transmissions to have a much stronger transmission in the much more economical van.Will it fit? 1996 E-150 ford cargo van putting the transmission from that van into a 1986 ford arostar both have 6cylinders

I doubt it because the E-150 has an in line 6 and the Aerostar has a V-6. Ford Geniuses have not figured out how to use the same bell housing on more than one engine combo. I don't know if they are just morons or if they do it on purpose just to make more money off of the parts. Hope I have been helpful.

No sir. It will not work. Interchange is 95-96 ford van and pick up. 96-97 Aerostar

it will not work

The 96e means it electronic,computerized


The older transmission is not so even if it did fit it would not work properly
