The Dirham, it is about 16 Dirham to £1at the moment. I'm off to Morocco in about 3 weeks, so that's how I know!!
The Dirham is used in Morocco (and therefore in Marrakesh). Major credit cards are accepted in major hotels but out on the streets and in the souks you will want to make sure you have the correct currency.

Moroccan Dirhams - definitely! (I was there last year!). However, many hotels and shops (even in the Souks) take major credit cards as well.
