Hi I have one or two in my house, I live in a little cottage in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and strange things are always happening, in my hall I have a lamp that switches itself off only when my husband passes by it, we have had friends and family walk past it to test it but it only happens to him - in that hallway a saw a little boy with dark hair and wearing a striped t-shirt and shorts skipping past our living room door, we do not have children there is only the 2 of us. Also my husband was working in the garage and he dropped his hammer but continued working on, when he bent down to pick it up about 10 mins later it was sitting on the stepladders beside him - it totally freaked him out. We hear voices and once even singing. My father-in-law was mucking out our stables and heard some-one speaking - he answered then looked out of the stable and there was no-one there. I have felt something tug at the back of my clothes the way a child would when they want your attention.
I'm not scared by my ghosts but coMforted by the fact that they are there - I never feel alone. You could possibly write these things off as our imagination but there has been too many things happen

Can anyone sense a ghost? This is the proper question. Atheists say there is nothing left when we die, so there cannot be ghosts. Some Christians say that people sleep until Judgement Day, so this also means there are no real ghosts. What appear to be ghosts may be demons sent to destroy people they say. My aunt and my brother say they saw many ghosts at her home. I only saw anything weird once. What seemed to be a woman was just light shining through a window onto a calendar and wallpaper. Probably all ghosts have such mundane explanations. I can tell of several incidents in which one relative thought he saw a ghost and fled but another looked closer to see what the "ghost" really was. My brother took me to where he had seen "ghosts" the night before several times. I suppose ghosts fear me, for they do not appear when I am present. When I was a small boy, I thought I saw a ghost floating by the bedroom door. It was probably Dad's "long johns" that he hung on that door. I use William of Ockham's Razor in such matters. So should you!

The home I have now is haunted, but not unpleasantly. Mostly cold spots, flowery fragrances and the occasional moving around of objects. I can also feel my mother's presence very strongly sometimes. Several years ago I lived in a very haunted house, with a very active poltergeist. Now that was an experience I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't experienced it myself.
Ghosts are either (1) just discarnate people between lives, or (2) simply the energy of the once-living left behind, like an old movie playing to an empty cinema. They're not demons (there's no such thing) or bogeyman -- they're just people who exist in another dimension that overlaps our own.

I think I do. Sometimes when I am looking for something like the remote and I cannot find it and I look under the couch under the cushions...you know everywhere...and I'll go into the other room to see if I took it in there and I'll come back into the living room and there is the remote in the middle of the couch in the exact place I had just looked. This happened when I was home by myself. I have also been sitting on the couch watching tv shortly after we moved into a new apartment and I felt something fall into my lap and it was a ring that my best friend had bought me a few years earlier and that I hadnt worn for like 4 months because it was in a box. I called her after that had happened and she was going through some tough things...it was weird. In an old apartment I use to see a man standing in the doorway. and shortly after my dad died 10 years ago I use to smell his colonge all the time and I could smell beer all the time too...I was 11 when this happened. My grandpa died 5 years ago and after he died my cousin who was 3 at the time told us that Grandpa came in her room at night and read to her. I love that spooky unexplainable stuff!

Sure do! She is a grandmother type and her name (we call her) is Rose. She is a sweet presence. Once when my daughter was here she was sleeping on the couch and my grandson was on the floor asleep also. When she woke up my grandson was on the couch with a bottle just a happy as can be. No she doesn't sleep walk. We know she is around because of the old fashioned rose scented perfume that wafts through the air.

When I was growing up I thought I did. Lots of weird things happened, like someone sitting at the foot of my bed while I was laying there, stuffed animals moving, the feeling of a presence, etc. Now that I am older, I think it was just my grandma coming back to let me know she was still with me and still loved me.
