I disagree, I don't think the government's gone far enough. It's just a shame many of these bees wear them as status symbols nowadays. And I'm not being racist but why is it always the bumble bees? Honey bees don't seem to conduct themselves un such an unsociable way. I saw a group of bees stinging a pensioner the other day, this never happened in my day.

I think it's about time the same kind of punishments were handed out top other unruly insects. ASBO's for moths, a curfew for spiders and even incarceration in young offenders institutes for wasps.

They brought it on them selves, nicking pollen, shaking their asses, all in front of the children!
The Government didn't cross the line when they tagged the bees, they did however cross the line when they started chasing Butterflies with Flamethrowers.

The tags are probably to monitor the bees migration patterns so they can keep track of where they're heading. If they are "killer" bees (Africanized bees), they may be trying to keep them out of populated areas.

They must have made some suggestive movements! We can't have that going on in front of the children. Are they under house arrest?
