Since I don't like small spaces I would go psyco on the murderer and get them first and then get the hell out of the room

If you went inside a room with a murderer you deserve to die. If you were in the room first and he came in? You still die.

Try the hardest u can, look for things that can help like chair, table... if you can find anything, use ur boot. Take off ur boots, hold them in ur hand, at least they can protect u.
If you have a pen in ur pocket, use as as a pointed weapon, and stab in the eyes of the murderer.

I have some martial arts training, So i would do my very best to break his ankles using heel hooks, than using arm bars to break both of his arms, that will teach him not to harm others. It would take him 5 or 6 months to heel properly.
