Why there is no Indian companies like Yahoo!, Google, eBay, Orkut,Amazon,AOL,Msn,Lycos?

Please leave Hotmail now it's with Microsoft!

But rediffmail is not global right? You have Infosys, Wipro but why are they not doing like Google / Yahoo!

We have Rediff, Indiatimes, Sify. Earlier we had Bazee.com, which was changed into e-bay(India). Wallet365.com is another website which has a good idealogy behind it.

Some great new Indian firms are Reliance, Wipro, Infosys, which may become the next giants.

Sify is even traded in the U S as an adr. Current price 7.98
