Hello, I need some imformation if you have any, or any thoughts of what my cars problem is. I'll make it short, when in 5th gear driving down the highway at speeds of 60-75MPH, when I pass another vehicle or giving my car some gas, the stick shift (gear) goes from 5th gear to neutral at that speed. It happens all of the time when I give it gas in 5th gear. Is this a transmission problem or clutch problem? It only happens in 5th gear, the other gears work fine. Thank you for your comments.

It is almost certainly a trans. problem. If it was a clutch problem it affect all of the gears. Have it checked out by a knowledgeable shop as it could even be a linkage problem perhaps the shifter is worn and not fully engaging 5th gear. Hard to say without a visual inspection.

floor wires, cams, pulley, header, extreme bypass exhaust, engine administration (get it tuned by technique of professional), port and varnish. yet with all that, u wont get the flexibility u choose. mitsubishi's are not the great N/A structures. i had an 03 civic si, and needed to be N/A. after I compared the enhancements, fee, and ability output of N/A vs speedy, speedy received by technique of a land slide. It turned right into a lil more effective extreme priced (purely like $2 hundred) notwithstanding the flexibility and ability with speedy can alway be more effective constructive. you're extremely constrained with N/A, except you V8 or higher. if u kept what you've and did a small custom speedy set up you need to be shocked. in case you fortify the internals with a speedy, you've got wayy more effective ability than envisioned.

Take it to a good transmission shop and have the synchronizers looked at. It shouldn't cost much to have it fixed because most of the time it is a simple adjustment or bushing replacement. Hope I have been helpful.

5th geer sincros and or shift forks are gone sometimes can be fixed without pulling trans out depending on side cover time for a good used trans if you want 5th geer

I do believe your Mitsu is equipped with a Hyundai transmission. They are well known for their internal hi-jinks (junk yards sell hundreds of them) and when they decide to grenade your only practical method of repair is to replace the entire unit. (maybe you should buy a spare)
