what's the men's honest take on make up for girls?

do you guys prefer the all out "glamorous" so-obvious-you're-wearing-make-up look, or the natural look with no make up whatsoever, or............??

Men are not God's most observant creatures when it comes to makeup. The ones who say they like no makeup really mean they don't like obvious makeup. You can wear anything you need to even out your skin tone, a neutral shadow, mascara, and a natural-colored lipstick and if it is applied correctly, they likely won't notice.

What most REALLY don't like is so much makeup that they wonder what the girl really looks like when she takes it off. Although there are some out there who do like the ultra-high-maintenance look. And this depends on the girl...some people have a very strong bone structure and defined features and can't really not look like themselves, even if they try. Others have an easier time being a chameleon. Ever seen pictures of Pamela Anderson without makeup? Not very attractive.

You'll probably be OK wearing normal, everyday makeup. If you want to wear a sheer colored eyeshadow, go ahead. I have actually had guys (straight ones, in fact!) say they liked the way I did my eyes when I had purple or blue shadow on...not the Mimi-from-Drew-Carey effect but a sheer layer of shadow. It's fun and as long as you still look like you, go for it. Just don't overdo it.

Anyway, just wear what you're comfortable in, as trite as it sounds, and you'll appeal to the kind of guy who likes that look!

I like a more natural look for the most part. Girls who put on make up to sit around the house strike me as superficial and narcissistic. I mean, it's nice to put on a bit of make up to go out, but I think less is more, unless you're going for a specific look (goth, 80's or something) for a particular reason.

Generally though, I less or no make up. I like the personality to shine through, and that can't happen if the face is plastered with layers of make-up.

Well on a daily baisis its ok to wear the natutal eye shadow colors,natural mascara, little eyeliner or the lipgloss or whatever
.... but somtimes you wanna have some fun with makeup,
you wanna really make those eyes stand out with bronze shadows or nice fine eyeliner lines
I really enjoy makeup, Love doing art designs everyonce in a while....

Some guys don't like the dramatic look and others do..........
Even if they say they don't they still get attracted to girl with the makeup sometimes

If you are wearing make-up i hsould not be able to tell. the idea behind makeup is to look like you actually look that good by yourself. if you can put just a little on to feel fresh and you look great and no one thinks you have it on, that is ideal. On yahoo website you will see an add for yahoo personals that says "finders keepers" with a picture of a women named meghan from Michigan. She is perfect.

I like it but it should not be too much. It should enhance the good things and hide the weakpoints.

my guy doesnt like it but mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss/stick is cool they help pronounce the good stuff. foundation and whatever else is too fake .
